The Bride & Groom

Jennifer and Michael met in San Francisco in 2013 over wine and cheese at a local wine bar. Jen being from New England and Michael, a San Franciso native, but also a Boston College alum, made for an easy conversation full of experiences that each had shared during their time living in Boston. Although they are worlds apart when it comes to San Franciso and Boston sports loyalty, they immediately knew that there was something real between them and began the start of something great.

Why The Lenox?

Jennifer has always loved The Lenox. It’s the quintessential Boston hotel. The charm, architecture, and location in the Back Bay are really the perfect combination for a wedding and reception. This, along with Michael’s California family and friends who are not familiar with Boston, made for the perfect destination for both sides. Jen and Mike met the staff at The Lenox, specifically Alison, whose presentation made their venue decision a simple choice.

The Big Day – September 3, 2016

Jennifer began her day as most brides do with hair and makeup along with her matron of honor and members of the bridal party in the Judy Garland Suite. Champagne was flowing to ease those wedding day butterflies. Michael, on the other hand, began his morning with a run along the Charles River with this best man to work out those jitters. He the met his buddies for a few beers and photos in The Lenox Board Room. Once ready, they separately made their way over to St. Ignatius Church at Boston College to make it official!

After a beautiful ceremony, the couple hopped on the T at Boston College along with their photographer, matron of honor, and best man, and made their way over to the Boston Common all while taking a lot of pictures on the train amongst the riders and people of the city. It was a fun adventure they will never forget and now have the pictures to prove it!

The Lenox had everything taken care of for Jen, Mike, and all of their guests. The cocktail hour and the reception went off without a hitch. Drinking, dancing, pictures, and amazing food (customized just for them) were not in short supply. “Top it off with photos on the roof and TRULY amazing service from everyone were experiences that we can’t forget”.

Memorable Moments

“Where to begin? Mike squeezing my trembling hand at the altar in the church, taking amazing photos while riders were gawking at us on the T, crossing the street hand in hand at the Public Garden while dodging traffic and tourists but smiling ear to ear, having a beer in the bridal suite before the wedding reception to get a sane moment, walking into the ballroom and seeing all of our loved ones there, and of course taking a moment to speak and hug each guest that came to celebrate with us on that day. We are lucky and grateful for that. Fast forward one year later, we celebrated our anniversary with our mini wedding cake provided that day and it was shockingly DELICIOUS!”
